Immigration, civil rights and labor groups joined the legal effort to defend President Obama’s executive action on immigration by filing amicus briefs in United States, et al. v. State of Texas, et al. (Since the lawsuit in this case was filed in December 2014 and up until the United States filed a petition with the Supreme Court asking it to review the case, it has been known as State of Texas, et al. v. United States, et al.)
