The National Immigration Law Center fights for a society where everyone has the freedom to thrive, no matter how much money we have, what we look like, or where we were born. We are building an inclusive future for low-income immigrants and their loved ones by working at the intersection of immigrant, economic, gender, and racial justice.
We advance laws and policies that center human dignity and benefit us all: a health care and safety net system that allows everyone to thrive; labor laws that empower all workers to fulfill their potential; and federal policies that recognize migration as a global phenomenon that transforms societies for the better.
Established in 1979, NILC deploys a holistic and multi-pronged strategy to both advance and defend the rights of low-income immigrant communities and secure lasting, transformational change.
