NILC’s Freedom to Thrive Podcast Nominated for Best Podcast – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging in the 29th Annual Webby Awards

Fans Can Vote Online to Help NILC Win Internet’s Top Honor: vote.webbyawards.com

WASHINGTON — The National Immigration Law Center (NILC) today announced that its Freedom to Thrive podcast has been nominated for best Podcasts – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging in the 29th Annual Webby Awards.

The NILC Freedom to Thrive podcast is also eligible to win a Webby People’s Voice Award, in which fans across the globe can vote. From now until April 17, fans can cast their votes at vote.webbyawards.com.

“Our country faces a pivotal moment in which the stories we tell about who we are as a nation and who is treated with respect and dignity in America have taken on a new level of importance,” said Kica Matos, NILC president. “By centering the humanity of immigrants through storytelling, the Freedom to Thrive podcast sheds light on perspectives that are often missing from the national conversation. We are honored to receive recognition for this significant work from the Webby Awards.”

NILC’s Freedom to Thrive Podcast is powering pro-immigrant narratives one story at a time. Through conversation with immigrants, children of immigrants, cultural influencers, artists, activists and people at the center of policymaking, the show explores how we can create a society where everyone, regardless of how much money we have, what we look like, or where we were born, has the Freedom to Thrive.

The Webby Awards Winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
