NILC’s Freedom to Thrive Podcast Kicks Off Season Three

WASHINGTON – The National Immigration Law Center (NILC) today launched its third season of its award-winning Freedom to Thrive podcast, hosted by Hector Flores. The podcast goes beyond the headlines, centering the lived experiences of immigrants and their loved ones through honest, powerful conversations with artists, organizers, activists, and unexpected allies.

Season three explores how immigrant communities are building, connecting, and creating power on their own terms. Guests will include immigrant comedian and storyteller, Jenny Yang, indigenous environmental activist, artist, and author, Latina fashion designer, Cindy Castro, and many more.

“Immigrants are standing up for themselves, each other, and their communities by leading the fight against authoritarianism,” said NILC president Kica Matos. “Whether it’s a comedian performing for immigrant-owned grocery stores or a fashion designer protesting the Met Gala and honoring immigrant labor, Freedom to Thrive guests are showing us how art and culture are potent tools to advocate for our neighbors and communities. We’re excited for everyone to tune in.”
