Lynn Damiano Pearson

Senior Staff Attorney

Lynn Damiano Pearson, Immigration Attorney, advances NILC’s worker rights and enforcement work, including its Deferred Action for Workers Campaign. She provides technical assistance and training, creates resources for advocates and impacted communities, and supports federal litigation against unjust enforcement policies.

Prior to NILC, Lynn co-founded Sur Legal Collaborative, an organization working at the intersection of worker and immigrant rights in the South, and previously served as a Senior Staff Attorney at Tahirih Justice Center where she led an appellate project defending survivors of gender-based violence. Earlier in her career, Lynn defended prisoners sentenced to death in Georgia in state and federal court, including in a victory in the Supreme Court in Tharpe v. Sellers. After practicing law for many years in Atlanta, Lynn spent an unforgettable two years living with her family in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.  She is now based in California.
