NILC Statement on the Passing of Dolores Huerta

WASHINGTON — Kica Matos, president of the National Immigration Law Center, issued the following statement in response to the passing of social justice advocate Dolores Huerta:

“Throughout her life, Dolores Huerta showed us how courage and organizing can impact an entire nation. She never stopped speaking her truth, and she never stopped fighting for the rights of farmworkers and other disenfranchised people. Today and always, let us honor the legacy she leaves behind by continuing the work. ¡Sí se puede!”
