Video: We Get There Together

Jul 22, 2025 For too long, immigration has been used as an issue to divide working people and protect the interests of corporations, billionaires, and politicians who profit from fear and division. Our new video, illustrated by Molly Crabapple, sets forth a vision of shared path forward, rooted in fairness and dignity.

We’re told that fixing our immigration system is impossible, that the system is too complex, too politicized, too broken to change. But that’s not the full story.

This video uncovers how powerful interests like politicians, corporations, and private prison companies have kept immigration laws intentionally dysfunctional to divide working people and maintain control. From the 1990s to today, we trace how policy decisions have harmed millions of immigrants while letting the real culprits off the hook.

Immigrants are our neighbors, co-workers, and family members. This isn’t about left or right. It’s about people versus power. It’s time to reject fear and division and build a future rooted in dignity and fairness.

Watch, share, and join the movement for a humane immigration system and an economy that works for all of us.
