There is an ongoing lawsuit about the way people are treated in this Border Patrol facility, including: (1) if there is adequate food and drinking water, (2) if the cells and hold areas are adequately cleaned and sanitary, (3) if people are provided access to showers and hygiene items like soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, and sanitary napkins, (4) if people are provided beds or bedding, (5) if there has been interference with your ability to sleep, (6) if there is access to medical care and medicines, and (7) if the facility is kept at a proper temperature. All persons who are detained in this facility are part of this lawsuit to ensure their rights are not violated by the detention conditions here.
The attorneys working on this lawsuit on behalf of people detained in this facility work at: American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona, American Immigration Council, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of San Francisco, the law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP, and the National Immigration Law Center.
