Eligibility for In-State Tuition, Fee Waivers, Financial Aid, and Scholarships in California

This table provides eligibility information about the following types of benefits and help available to certain categories of higher-ed students in California who are not U.S. citizens: in-state tuition, California College Promise Grant, state financial aid (Cal Grants), federal financial aid, and institutional aid.

The categories of noncitizens for whom specific eligibility information is included are: people granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), U-visa nonimmigrants, T-visa nonimmigrants, and people in the process of adjusting immigration status under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
