Guidance for Practitioners Helping Clients with DACA Cases Electronically

JULY 2020

United We Dream, Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, and National Immigration Law Center

In response to COVID-19, many offices providing immigration legal services have temporarily closed for in-person services. However, DACA recipients are still able to submit applications to renew their DACA, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is still accepting DACA renewal applications from anyone who currently has, or previously had, DACA. Despite office closures, we encourage legal service providers to continue assisting their clients in seeking DACA renewals.

This publication, which is hosted on United We Dream’s website, highlights best practices learned since March 2020 from legal service providers who are part of the Home Is Here coalition.
