Letter we will send to the Biden Administration:

Dear President Biden,

Your shameful decision to restart — and even expand — Trump’s deadly “Remain in Mexico” policy goes against the legal right to seek asylum and puts tens of thousands of asylum seekers in danger.

We urge you to immediately end all cruel Trump border policies that deprive people of their right to seek humanitarian protection, including “Remain in Mexico” and Title 42 expulsions. You must also restore full access to asylum, so every asylum seeker can seek safety for themselves and their loved ones.

You campaigned on a promise to deliver a more humanitarian approach to immigration AND a commitment to restore our asylum system. It’s crucial that your administration follows through. 

The world is watching, and we must do right by those who have been wronged by our immigration system. We must ensure all people seeking protection in our country are welcomed with dignity and respect.
