SSI Extension for Humanitarian Immigrants Provides for Two More Years of Benefits (IMMIGRANTS' RIGHTS UPDATE, 11/20/08).  The new law -- the SSI Extension for Elderly and Disabled Refugees Act (P.L. 110-328) -- took effect on October 1, 2008.
