| States that require an SSN for a driver's license only of people who have been assigned one or are eligible for one (40): |
AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MA, MI, MO, MT, NE, NV, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY.
