CALIFORNIA INCREASES ITS MINIMUM WAGE
Immigrants' Rights Update, Vol. 15, No. 1, Feb. 28, 2001

As of Jan. 1, 2001, employers in California are required to pay all of their workers at least the minimum wage of $6.25 per hour. The minimum wage is set to increase again on January 1, 2002, at which time it will be $6.75.
